The 1st story that comes to my mind when I was about 10 years old a newly converted French brother and I went to a door and a very nice lady comes out and nicely stated she was not interested and the French man just wouldn't let her go for about 45 min (felt like years) he did the hard core JW talk... she kept looking at me like "i feel so sorry for you" I would smile trying my best to make it go away and tried to walk away but the French man just kept going...

What was your most embarassing WTF experience with a fanatical witness??
by Reality79 inwe've all known those fanatical witnesses who are guilty of pdf (public display of faith) and always have to make a big song and dance to the whole world and let everyone and their dog know they're a faithful witness of jay hoover!.
1) when my mother first came in 'da troooof' this wacky, over zealous 'sister' was studying with her - you know the type.
this woman was one of those not so subtle individuals who would always talk loud in conversation and say the name jehovah a million times even when the conversation could have been about basketball.

why are witnesses so ridiculous????
by mochamint22 inso it's been a while since i've posted on the site to hello everyone.
i just am so irritated by these fools that i have to tell you guys about this.
so my husband was on his way to the store and he stopped to pump gas and there were some witnesses doing street witnessing and this brother gets out and comes up to him (i was at home, this is my hubby telling me about this) this happens to be the po of the spanish hall my mother goes to.

Have You Ever Experienced Depression?
by minimus inmy mom does and has every ailment under the sun.. i know more people that are under meds for depression than not.. fortunately, i do not suffer from depression but i wonder how many do or have, especially if you were a witness..

I was depressed most of my life. Funny thing after the dust settled from leaving the cult I have not been depressed since. I never went on meds or got any professional help mainly cuz I was a "good" JW and though never stated specifically always hinted that if you "do more" you will be happy.... plus my EX was anti meds and there was an elders wife that always spoke of the harm of meds.... I lived in a cloud of doom, I was extreally thin, could not sleep well, nightmaires, I thought about death all the time, tried 3 times to kill myself and the ironic thing is I always LOOKED HAPPY! I was good at looking happy because I thought if I was a good JW i should be happy... ug makes my head spin now.. hope your Mom gets out of the cult and learns what real happiness is

Do your elders care at all?
by Mr. Falcon ini currently have an elder body who, for the most part, seems utterly complacent and disinterested in actually "shepherding" anything.
i can't tell if they are lazy or just oblivious to their responsiblities of being "teachers".
it seems like they are the last to know anything and always procrastinate on everything.

They sure didn't notice when I needed help untill I "sinned" then I was a PRIORITY! The hall I no longer go to has one older elder that is just not qualified to deal with family problems, depression, discouragement but is kind hearted, another younger one that has CFS that is great with problems but is really too sick to help and one "creep elder" the second anyone slips up he is there, in your face as if he is God and will judge the earth! Looking back it seems the ones that cared got run over by the creep elders

we didn't do jack shit in service, or in the congregation.
maybe this was how jehovah came about?

Being Turned In By Family

if it happened to me, i don't think that i could forgive my husband if he did this.
i would never do this to any member of my family, especially my husband.

My 16 year Old is Having Surgery Tomarrow
by lovelylil inboy am i glad we are not witnesses anymore.
my son is having two large cysts removed tomarrow, they are in sort of a delicate area.
because of where they are located, the potential for heavy blood loss is high.
